We're partnering with a fast-growing General Contractor based in Alexandria, VA, who is expanding their estimating team. This is a company that's winning work across some of the most dynamic sectors in the market — and they need a sharp, detail-driven Estimator to help them keep that momentum going.
If you've spent the last few years pricing interior builds and base builds, and you know what it takes to put together a winning number across Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential, or Federal — we'd love to talk.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll own the estimating process from initial concept through bid submission — analysing plans and specs, building detailed cost models, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and presenting compelling, competitive bids to leadership. You'll also play a key role in shaping pre-construction strategy as the business continues to grow its project pipeline.
What They're Looking For
- 3 years of estimating experience within commercial construction
- Demonstrated experience on interior builds and base builds
- Sector exposure across one or more of: Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential, or Federal
- Strong command of takeoff software and estimating platforms
- Confidence communicating bids to internal stakeholders and external partners
- A proactive mindset — someone who sees opportunity in a set of drawings, not just numbers
