The Field Team Leader (Trainee) is a crucial role that bridges the gap between field operations and management and prepares the candidate for a future in management. Reporting directly to the Field Supervisor, this position is responsible for maintaining team morale, upholding company culture, and developing talent within the road team.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development
- Set a positive example for road employees, embodying company values and culture
- Train new and current employees on deliveries, pick-ups, rehangs, inhomes and rug laying techniques
- Identify and help nurture internal talent, helping to develop valuable assets for the company
- Delegate tasks effectively to team members based on their strengths and skills
- Coordinate with Field Supervisor and Scheduler to organize training events and opportunities
Project Management
- Complete all field team events in an efficient manner
- Leave every cust
Communication and Reporting
- Act as a liaison between the field team and Field Supervisor
- Report on team progression via email to Field Supervisor and Human Resources
- Maintain open lines of communication with Field Supervisor and Huma Resources
Operational Support
- Assist in the creation and execution of Road Meetings
- Help identify pitfalls in operations and present to Field Supervisor
- Learn how to conduct road huddles
- Participate in Saturday rotation coverage
- Provide weekend phone rotational coverage
- Uphold company standards by ensuring accountability for all team members, including self
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to learn via internal coursework which will be applied knowledge for field eventsExcellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members
- Familiarity with delivery operations, including pick-ups, rehangs, and rug laying
- Flexibility to work weekends and participate in rotation schedules
- Proficiency in project management and delegation
- Proven experience in training roles
- Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Be available for questions and calls during the weeks & weekends from the road team
- Daily updates & biweekly progress updates for the team need to be reported to managers@ so we know how to hold employees accountable for their designated career path
- Knowledge of performance metrics and team evaluation methods
- Familiarity with training and development techniques
- Previous experience in a similar industry
- Report on disciplinary issues to the Field Supervisor
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
