Landscape & Hardscape Foreman - Install Crew
Location: Inver Grove Heights, MN (Projects across Dakota County & surrounding areas)
Job Type: Full-Time & Part Time
Compensation: $30.00 – $70.00/hr (Based on leadership and field experience)
Schedule: Flexible schedule; Season runs April/May through October/November
Payment: Bi-weekly direct deposit
The Role: Hands-On Leadership This is a high-intensity, "lead from the front" position. You are expected to be the most productive person on the crew. You will lead by example—not just by directing others, but by personally handling the labor, operating machinery with precision, and out-working the team to set the pace.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Expert Machinery Operation: Proficient operation of skid steers and mini skids for excavation, grading, and material moving.
- Hardscape Installation: Leading the construction of block retaining walls, paver patios, walkways, driveways, and stone steps.
- Stone Work: Precision handling and installation of natural stone and manufactured stone products.
- Drainage Mastery: Executing French drains, catch basins, and site-specific grading solutions.
- Softscape Oversight: Ensuring high-speed and high-quality installation of landscape fabric, rock, mulch, sod, and plantings.
- Site Management: Managing the project from initial dirt work through final clean-up, ensuring efficiency at every stage.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years of professional experience in landscape/hardscape installation. You must have a proven ability to lead an install crew.
- Technical Skill: Expertise in block walls and paver systems (steps, walkways, patios).
- Machinery: Expert proficiency with skid steers and mini skids.
- Physicality: Ability to lift 75 lbs consistently and maintain a high work rate in extreme summer heat.
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean record; experience in towing and securing heavy equipment is required.
Pay: $30.00 - $70.00 per hour
