What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Coordinator position at Renegade Parts Washers and Detergents?
We are looking for an organized, hands-on person to help manage and improve our inventory system.
This position is responsible for keeping inventory accurate, organized, and easy to find. The right person will not just make adjustments when something is off, but will work to find the cause of the problem and help prevent it from happening again. This role will also help determine stock levels based on usage, lead times, and what is needed to keep production moving without overstocking.
The main focus of this position is inventory control, but there will also be some related support work as needed, including picking parts for work orders, helping with work order processing, and assisting with final machine check-off.
What this person will do:
- Keep inventory quantities accurate in the system
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and correct the root cause, not just the numbers
- Adjust inventory for scrap, damaged parts, or other variances when needed
- Organize shelving, bin locations, and storage areas
- Create bin numbers and improve part locations
- Make room for new items and keep inventory areas clean and easy to use
- Help determine proper stock levels based on part usage and supplier lead times
- Pick parts for work orders and help support work order flow
- Assist with related tasks such as work order processing and final machine check-off as needed
- Work with purchasing, production, and shipping to solve inventory issues
What we are looking for:
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Good at solving problems and finding root causes
- Willing to learn and work in our software systems, including NetSuite
- Basic Excel skills
- Able to improve storage and keep things organized
- Someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and keeping things running smoothly
- This is a good fit for someone who likes order, solving problems, and improving how things are done every day.
