What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Renascent Inc?
Construction Waste is looking to hire a professional, competent Diesel Mechanic to perform work on Roll-Off Trucks, Tri-Axle Dump Trucks, and other Heavy Equipment. Candidates with experience working on Front Load Waste Trucks will get top consideration. Mechanics are responsible for ensuring that the Trucks and other Heavy Equipment are in good working order. We are looking for a candidate who can work well with the entire Team to coordinate repairs and keep the Trucks and Equipment running smoothly. This position will be full-time (overtime and weekend hours available depending on season). Wages are negotiable and will be based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Daily report on required repairs
- Provide own tools for use in repairs
- Repair Fleet and Heavy Equipment as needs arise and work to ensure the smooth operation of all equipment
- Ensure all interactions with customers and co-workers are professional and courteous
- Participate actively in the Company Safety Program
Qualifications
- Three years of experience
- Formal training is encouraged, but not required
- DOT compliance knowledge
- Knowledge of repairing engines, alignments, suspension, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Ability to drive a grease truck to make repairs in the Field or on a Jobsite
- United States work authorization
