Responsibilities
- Assist the Cheesemaker throughout the cheese production process, including cheddaring, milling, scooping, and pressing cheese.
- Remove cheese from presses, dress hoops, and wax cheese.
- Help set up curd and string cheese orders.
- Clean production equipment and follow sanitation procedures and policies.
- Follow and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and become familiar with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) food safety practices.
- Work closely with the cheesemaking team to maintain product quality and support daily production.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- A positive attitude, willingness to follow instructions, and ability to work effectively on a team.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and frequently walk, bend, and reach.
- Comfort climbing ladders as needed.
