How You Will Make An Impact
- Serve as second-in-command in the kitchen, supporting the Executive Chef in planning, executing, and elevating all culinary operations.
- Lead and mentor line cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen staff — fostering development, teamwork, and high performance.
- Monitor quality, consistency, and presentation across all food outlets (banquets, outlets, in-house dining, room service).
- Collaborate on menu innovation, seasonal specials, cost controls, and menu pricing strategy.
- Ensure kitchen operations thrive under high standards — sanitation, safety, compliance, waste control, and timely service.
- Culinary degree, professional certification, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in upscale hotel, resort, or fine-dining kitchens. Ideally, strong experience in a large event production environment.
- Proven leadership: experience training, managing, and supervising kitchen teams
- Polished presentation skills and experience doing client menu presentations and tastings
- Strong understanding of food cost control, purchasing, menu engineering, and kitchen financials
- Creative vision with technical mastery; able to translate ideas into consistent execution under pressure
- Commitment to high standards of hygiene, food safety (ServSafe or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; calm in fast-paced service
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed
