Position Overview
The Merchandising & Sales Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring our bridal collections are aligned with the U.S. market and customer expectations. Working closely with the Senior Merchandiser in India and the U.S. sales team, this position acts as a bridge between product development and sales execution. The role requires strong knowledge of bridal fine jewelry, an understanding of the U.S. retail landscape, and the ability to provide actionable feedback on what designs and assortments will succeed in the market.
In addition to merchandising responsibilities, this role serves as a product knowledge expert for the sales team—training them on collection details and, when necessary, participating in customer meetings to present bridal assortments and provide accurate information that supports the sales process. This is a full-time, in-person position based out of our LIC, Queens office.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising & Product Alignment
- Partner with the Senior Merchandiser in India to align product assortments with U.S. bridal market trends and customer requirements.
- Review product development progress, and track project timelines to ensure timely execution.
- Maintain line sheets, catalogs, pricing files, and product records, ensuring all sales tools are accurate and up to date.
- Provide structured market feedback and customer insights to India merchandising and product development teams to guide design and assortment decisions.
Sample & Product Management
- Manage incoming samples, organize and tray them for internal reviews and customer presentations.
- Maintain the bridal line room, ensuring samples are properly cataloged, stored, and presentation-ready.
- Coordinate product shipments for customer requests, photography, and marketing needs.
Sales Support & Customer Engagement
- Act as a bridal product knowledge expert for the U.S. sales team, training them on new collections and product details.
- Support the sales team with accurate product information, proposals, and pricing updates for client presentations.
- Join customer meetings when needed to present collections, answer detailed product questions, and support the sales conversation with expertise.
- Prepare sales reports, presentations, and meeting recaps to ensure alignment between sales and merchandising priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a key liaison between U.S. sales teams and India merchandising/product development, ensuring seamless communication on timelines, priorities, and feedback.
- Collaborate with leadership, sales, design, and operations to ensure projects and deliverables are executed on schedule and in line with customer expectations.
- Undertake special merchandising and sales initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Fashion, Business, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in merchandising, product development, or sales support within fine jewelry, fashion, or luxury goods.
- Strong knowledge of bridal fine jewelry and the U.S. retail jewelry market.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across global teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and merchandising systems (ERP/PLM a plus).
- Confidence in presenting products and providing guidance to internal teams and customers.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $70,000 – $85,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
