Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a key role in managing the company's AR processes while providing exceptional attention to detail, customer service, and support to internal teams. This individual will serve as a knowledgeable resource for AR best practices and help train and mentor newer team members.
We are seeking a patient, kind, servant-hearted professional who enjoys every aspect of Accounts Receivable and takes pride in producing accurate work while helping the team succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full Accounts Receivable process
- Process customer payments and apply cash accurately
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Reconcile customer accounts
- Maintain accurate customer records and documentation
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding account activity
- Collaborate closely with accounting, finance, and customer service teams
- Assist with month-end reporting and account reconciliations
- Help train, mentor, and support new team members
- Identify opportunities to improve AR processes and efficiencies
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work
Qualifications
- 5 years of stable and progressive Accounts Receivable experience
- Demonstrated commitment to building a long-term career in Accounts Receivable
- Strong understanding of AR processes, cash applications, collections, and reconciliations
- Proven track record of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding team members is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to help others
- Professional, patient, and service-focused approach
- Stable work history showing reliability and commitment
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
