RemX is partnering with a well-established professional services organization seeking a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys problem-solving, reconciliation work, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions in a fast-paced environment.
After a comprehensive training period of approximately 60-120 days, this position will transition to a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Accurately post and apply payments received via ACH, wire transfer, check, and credit card.
- Research and resolve unapplied, misapplied, and unidentified payments.
- Reconcile cash receipts and customer accounts to ensure payment accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies while working closely with internal departments.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation for all cash application activities.
- Assist with month-end close processes, reporting, and account reconciliations.
- Monitor aging reports and support accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within the cash application cycle.
Qualifications
- Must have experience with 3E accounting software
- 2 years of cash application, accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting experience.
- Strong account reconciliation and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Salary : $58,000 - $65,000
