Assistant Controller - Irmo Area - On Site
Our growing organization is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the accounting function and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial results and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
- Support audits, tax requests, and regulatory reporting
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 4-10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems/ERPs
