AP AR Accountant

AP/AR Accountant | Direct Hire | Rock Hill, SC | Up to $75,000

A growing manufacturer and distributor of specialized equipment is seeking an experienced AP/AR Accountant to join their team in Rock Hill, SC. This is a direct hire, fully onsite opportunity offering excellent stability and long-term growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and record vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Review purchase orders and invoices for proper account coding and classifications.
• Match vendor invoices to receiving records.
• Prepare and process bi-monthly accounts payable payments.
• Reconcile vendor accounts and communicate findings with finance partners.
• Set up new vendors within the ERP system, ensuring proper documentation and payment terms.
• Reconcile expense reimbursements, credit card accounts, and bank accounts.
• Validate vendor tax information and maintain compliance with reporting requirements.
• Analyze AP data to support cash forecasting activities.
• Manage customer invoicing, collections, and credit memos.
• Generate and distribute customer statements on a bi-monthly basis.
• Review aging reports and partner with sales and leadership to follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Assist with audit requests and month-end reporting activities related to AP, AR, and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting, AP/AR, or credit-related experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience working within an ERP system.
• Knowledge of accrual-based accounting principles.
• Experience with QuickBooks and accounting processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
