Now Hiring: Drafter III
Are you an experienced drafting professional with a background in metal building construction? We're seeking a Drafter III to create detailed design drawings and material lists for pre-engineered metal building projects while serving as a technical resource and mentor to junior drafters.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and detail metal building drawings using AutoCAD, MBS, and TEKLA
- Develop accurate fabrication and installation drawings
- Review drawings and material lists for quality and accuracy
- Coordinate project schedules and workload across the drafting team
- Collaborate with sales, project management, and operations teams
- Manage outsourced detailing projects and support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in the metal building industry, including bills of materials and installation drawings
- 2-4 years of AutoCAD experience preferred
- 1-2 years of MBS and TEKLA experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Additional Information
- Hybrid office/manufacturing environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Up to 5% travel as needed
