Role Summary

The Inventory Manager owns the flow of inventory throughout the business, ensuring every part is received, accurately recorded, stored, issued, tracked, and replenished to support uninterrupted production, service, and warranty operations.

Working closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, Service, Warranty, Finance, and Logistics, you will maintain inventory accuracy in NetSuite, coordinate warehouse operations, and ensure the right parts are available at the right place and right time. This role is central to maintaining production efficiency while delivering exceptional support to our service network and customers.


Key ResponsibilitiesInventory Operations
  • Own the day-to-day management of all production, service, warranty, and spare parts inventory.
  • Receive, inspect, identify, label, and correctly store incoming inventory.
  • Ensure inventory locations, quantities, serial numbers, and lot tracking remain accurate within NetSuite.
  • Maintain warehouse organization using efficient storage and visual management principles.


Parts Issuing & Production Support
  • Issue components to production work orders in accordance with manufacturing schedules.
  • Ensure production teams receive complete kits and materials on time.
  • Coordinate urgent part requests to prevent production downtime.
  • Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate shortages to Procurement.


Procurement Coordination
  • Work closely with Procurement to reconcile purchase orders, receipts, backorders, and supplier deliveries.
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Resolve receiving discrepancies, damaged shipments, and supplier shortages.
  • Assist Procurement with inventory forecasting and reorder recommendations.


Service & Warranty Parts Management
  • Manage inventory allocated for service technicians and warranty repairs.
  • Process warranty parts requests quickly to minimize customer downtime.
  • Coordinate returns, warranty replacements, and defective part quarantines.
  • Maintain service parts inventory separately from production inventory where appropriate.


Inventory Control
  • Lead cycle counting and annual physical inventory counts.
  • Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and warehouse performance metrics.
  • Identify obsolete, damaged, or slow-moving inventory and recommend disposition plans.


NetSuite Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions within NetSuite.
  • Process receipts, transfers, adjustments, issues, returns, and stock movements.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are completed in real time.
  • Generate inventory reports to support purchasing, production, and finance.


Cross Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Manufacturing to improve material flow and production efficiency.
  • Work with Engineering on BOM changes and inventory transitions.
  • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate inventory valuation and month-end reconciliation.
  • Support Logistics with inbound and outbound inventory movements.


Continuous Improvement
  • Improve warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop standardized inventory procedures and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, inventory carrying costs, and stock shortages.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.


Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of inventory, warehouse, or materials management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong NetSuite ERP experience, particularly Inventory Management and Warehouse Operations.
  • Experience coordinating inventory across purchasing, manufacturing, and service departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar reporting tools.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred / Nice-to-Have
  • Experience within the automotive, RV, marine, aerospace, or vehicle manufacturing industries.
  • Forklift certification or warehouse equipment experience.
  • Experience implementing inventory control systems or warehouse improvements.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent inventory management certification.
