JOB TITLE: VICE- PRESIDENT OF FINANCE
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: PRESIDENT/CEO
CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT
COMPENSATION: $87,100- $108,000

POSTION SUMMARY:
Manages the financial and business aspects of the Agency and assists the President/CEO with the financial planning, budget preparation and monitoring. Prepares all financial documents for the Agency.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs the proper and timely recording and reporting of all Agency financial transactions according to generally acceptable accounting principles (GAAP). Develops management information systems relative to fiscal data, both for internal reporting and to meet requirements of funding entities. Funding entities require budgets, monthly or quarterly billing, closeout documents and may require site visit documents.
  • Bills all services except DBHR/Managed Care, Medicaid and private insurance. Monitors collection of receivables.
  • Responsible for all accounts payable systems and functions.
  • Oversees all payroll functions.
  • Ensures the Agency is compliant with all local, State and Federal laws and regulations related to all fiscal aspects of the Agency.
  • Develops, recommends and implements administrative and operating policies and procedures related to the fiscal and assets management of the Agency. Develops and maintains policy/procedural manuals related to accounting, financial reporting and management, cash receipt and disbursement, investment of idle funds and purchasing of goods and services.
  • Prepares all audit worksheets and audit report.
  • Coordinates the Agency’s interactions and communications with and reports to external financial auditors, including both independent accountants and those of funding entities.
  • Prepares the Indirect Cost Proposal for Cognizant Agency.
  • Assists the President/CEO and others with the purchase of all goods and services required by the Agency and maintains an accurate and up-to-date inventory of the Agency’s assets.
  • Collaborates with the President/CEO to develop budget for upcoming fiscal year.
  • Presents financial statements to the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Manages and oversees Bookkeeper.
  • Promotes a positive and pleasant attitude conducive to the workplace that enhances and furthers the Mission, Vision and Values Statement.
  • Presents and maintains a professional image in dress, behavior, and work habits.
  • Performs all job functions in a professional manner.
  • Performs all job functions consistent with confidentiality regulations, ethical practices and Agency polices and mission.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by President/CEO.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Extensive working knowledge of non-profit accounting and financial management and the ability to maintain, operate and evaluate data processing systems for accounting and financial reporting. Requires working knowledge of and experience in developing and administering budgets and overseeing grants. Requires working knowledge of billing and collection systems and procedures
  • High degree of self-organization skills and the ability to maintain a wide range of varied duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and Agency vendors such as the bank, auditors etc.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills to include advanced knowledge in Excel.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of five (5) year working in accounting or finance
Benefit Summary:
All full-time employees are eligible for insurance on the first of the month after 30 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental and 401K participation. We also offer an accrual of 4 weeks of paid time off per year. There is an annual discretionary bonus given as well after completing 1 year of service. Full-time employees are also eligible for short/long term disability and term life insurance.

Salary : $87,100 - $108,000
