Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for reviewing and auditing door specs, reports, and project reviews during on-site inspections. The QA Specialist will work closely with the Field Service Technicians and Leaders to ensure the quality of our documentation meets our client’s expectations. The QA Specialist will ensure the accuracy of all information documented and verify quality through LSPs, inspection information, deficiencies, resolution options, and photos. The person in this role needs to be very detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills, and well versed with current technology. This position will be based out of our headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly review door specs, reports, and projects completed by our Field Service Technicians.
- Ensure accuracy in all documentation that will be presented to the clients.
- Validate that deficiencies and after resolution options are appropriate for the situation.
- Maintain professional, timely communication with Field Service Technicians and Operations Support.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- 1 year of fire door experience and/or construction knowledge.
- A thorough understanding of NFPA codes and standards.
- Knowledge and experience with Life Safety Plans (LSPs)/Blueprints
- Great attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Calendar.
- Ability to make decisions in a timely manner using critical thinking
- Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and perform multifaceted projects in conjunction with daily activities.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
- The associate is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Working extended hours, including evenings and weekends may be required.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver license.
- Must pass drug screen, criminal background check and driver’s license check.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
