Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Personal Support Aide to join our Adult Day Health team. This position is responsible for assisting with client support services. The ideal candidate is reliable, patient, safety-minded, and enjoys working with seniors and adults with disabilities.
Pimary Duties – Personal Support Aide Responsibilities:
- Assist staff with client supervision and engagement
- Help support clients with basic daily needs as directed
- Escort clients within the center as needed
- Provide friendly, respectful interaction with all participants
- Assist with activity setup and light support during programs
Qualifications (Preferred but Not Required)
- CNA, Personal Care Aide, or Home Health Aide experience (a plus)
- Experience working with seniors or adults with special needs preferred
- Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- Dependable attendance and punctuality

You will assist clients with personal care, feeding, mobility, activities, and supervision while helping maintain their safety, comfort, dignity, and overall well-being.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, patient, and compassionate Direct Support Aide to support clients throughout the day. This position requires an individual who is comfortable providing hands-on personal care to clients with different physical, developmental, cognitive, and medical needs.
The ideal candidate takes initiative, works well with a team, follows instructions, and understands that some clients require extensive assistance with changing, toileting, feeding, mobility, and other daily needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide continuous supervision and support to assigned clients.
- Assist clients with toileting, changing briefs, incontinence care, and personal hygiene.
- Assist clients with eating and provide hands-on feeding assistance when required.
- Escort and assist clients to and from activity areas, restrooms, dining areas, and other locations within the center.
- Assist clients with walking, positioning, transfers, and the use of mobility devices.
- Support clients who use wheelchairs, walkers, canes, or other adaptive equipment.
- Participate in client activities and encourage engagement and social interaction.
- Assist with setting up and cleaning activity and dining areas.
- Observe clients for changes in their behavior, physical condition, or emotional well-being and promptly report concerns to the nurse or supervisor.
- Follow each client’s care instructions, safety precautions, dietary requirements, and level of assistance.
- Maintain clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Follow infection-control, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
- Work cooperatively with nurses, activity staff, and other members of the care team.
- Perform other client-support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CNA, Personal Care Aide, Home Health Aide, Direct Support Professional, or caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting seniors, individuals with dementia, or adults with physical or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must be comfortable assisting clients with toileting, changing, feeding, and personal care.
- Must demonstrate patience, compassion, professionalism, and respect.
- Must be able to follow care instructions and safety procedures.
- Must communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically active, hands-on caregiving position. The employee must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and squat.
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Assist clients who require partial or extensive physical support.
- Help reposition, transfer, and support clients using proper body mechanics, assistance from another staff member, or approved equipment when required.
- Push and maneuver occupied wheelchairs.
- Assist clients with feeding, toileting, changing, and personal hygiene.
- Respond promptly to clients requiring assistance or experiencing an emergency.
- Perform repeated physical movements safely throughout the shift.
- Work around bodily fluids while following infection-control procedures.
