Role Overview
As a Contract Safety Manager, you'll act as the on-site guardian of health and safety for our client’s project. You will manage safety protocols, coordinate with contractors, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements—delivering day-to-day safety leadership for the duration of the assignment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the on-site Health & Safety Manager for a construction or industrial project, overseeing daily safety operations.
Coordinate with contractors (e.g., electrical crews of 50–75 personnel as in similar roles) to monitor safety protocols and performance.
Enforce compliance with OSHA regulations and relevant safety standards.
Conduct regular inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and site observations.
Lead incident investigations, maintain safety records, and coordinate corrective action plans.
Deliver or facilitate relevant safety training (e.g., OSHA, hazard recognition, PPE usage).
Prepare, maintain, and report safety documentation to Relief Safety Group and client stakeholders.
Provide daily or weekly status updates and contribute to safety discussions with site leadership.
Required Qualifications
Active CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) certification is required .
Proven experience as a Safety Manager or equivalent, ideally in construction or industrial settings overseeing medium-to-large crews.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, hazard assessment methods, and safety program implementation.
Strong communication and leadership abilities—comfortable working with diverse teams and contractors.
Self-driven, organized, and capable of operating independently in dynamic field environments.
Contract Details
Duration: Approximately 6 months (project-based, with possibility for extension depending on client needs) .
Schedule: 40–45 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
Compensation: Daily per diem available for non-local contractors (where applicable).
