$3,000 SIGN-ON BONUS – SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS

Minnesota Coaches is hiring experienced CDL school bus drivers in Minneapolis. If you already have a CDL with school bus endorsements, you may qualify for a $3,000 sign-on bonus!

We are seeking dedicated and responsible route drivers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers along designated routes while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, some mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse populations, including children and individuals with special needs.

YOUR PAY

• Starting wage: $28.69 per hour
• Earn up to an additional $1.00 per hour safety bonus
• Minimum of 8 paid hours guaranteed per school day

A SCHEDULE THAT WORKS FOR YOU

• Morning and afternoon routes
• Morning-only routes
• Afternoon-only routes
• No nights or weekends for regular school routes
• Summers off—or choose summer work for additional income

Duties

• Safely operate a vehicle along assigned routes, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
• Assist passengers, including children and those with disabilities, during boarding and disembarking.
• Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, mileage, and any incidents that occur during the route.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or passenger needs.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Experience in school bus driving preferred, but not necessary.
• Basic mechanical understanding to perform pre-trip inspections.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to write reports and maintain accurate records.
• Previous experience in childcare or working with children is an advantage.
• Ability to pass required background checks as required by company policies.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and DOT physical
• A commitment to safely transporting students

We will train you! Qualified candidates receive paid training and support earning the CDL and endorsements required to drive a school bus.
