Responsibilities- Review and interpret contract documents, including drawings, submittals, equipment lists, Arc Flash studies, and commissioning compliance documents to ensure alignment with project design and owner requirements.
- Coordinate with the Sr. MEP Technical Coordinator, project team, commissioning authority, and client representatives to support the successful installation and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Develop and implement strategies for the installation of electrical equipment, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Facilitate clear communication between field staff, project stakeholders, and clients to ensure project objectives and timelines are met.
- Participate in regular project meetings, providing updates on project status and addressing action items and scheduling needs.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to verify that installations meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Assist with project documentation, including punch list item closeout, yellow tag inspections, and weekly MEP calls.
- Promote and adhere to site safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Represent the company professionally onsite, demonstrating dependability, productivity, and a collaborative attitude.
- Travel to project sites across the continental United States as required.
- Engineering degree in electrical or mechanical discipline, or equivalent experience and training.
- 8 years of construction experience, preferably with an electrical focus.
- Experience with installation and field work in the electrical industry, including data center projects.
- Familiarity with commissioning data center equipment and/or FSR-type work is a plus.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, submittals, specifications, and one-line diagrams.
- Strong understanding of ATS, UPS, and switchgear functionality.
- Proficient in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), as well as Adobe/PDF editing tools.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and business units.
- OSHA 30 certification required.
- NFPA 70E training (to be completed within the first 30 days of employment).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the continental United States.
$125,000 - $145,000 annually
