POSITION SUMMARY:
An Electrical Technician II, Connected is responsible for startups, certifications, preventative maintenance, and scheduled maintenance for battery systems related to Uninterruptable Power Supply systems.
This is a 6 month contract to Hire opportunity
.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- : Assist with the battery replacements and new installation
- s.Assist, as necessary, with preventative maintenance of batteries with minimal disruption to custome
- r.Assist in the warehouse when neede
- d.Interact effectively with internal and external customer
- s.Follow operational, maintenance and emergency methods of procedure (MOP
- s)Ensure strict adherence to critical facility work rule and safety procedure
- s.Ability to use hand and general maintenance tools and equipmen
- t.Keep job site clean during replacement, installs, and maintenanc
- e.Assist with work in other service divisions (Switch Gear, Operations, HVAC, etc.) as neede
- d.Work from schematic diagrams, sketches, and verbal instruction
- s.Learn how to disconnect and connect sealed batteries in cabinets and open rack
- s.Learn how to build flooded cell battery racks, and spill containment system
- s.Learn how to install flooded cell batteries onto rack systems in the customers critical spac
- e.Learn how to enter pre-installation test readings into our reporting format thru laptop compute
- r.Learn how to collect data from PM services and import into files for reporting purpose
- s.Gain experience from preventive maintenance, trouble diagnosis, routine and emergency maintenance and repairs with minimum direct supervision to DC battery syste
