About the Role
The Critical Facility Technician (CFT III) ensures the smooth and efficient operation of critical facilities by ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required work, and by attaining customer satisfaction. This position has the additional responsibility for monitoring compliance with contractual commitments, directing technical and administrative tasks related to the operation of the critical facility infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provides effective oversight, leadership and administration of assigned projects which includes direction of project teams and contractors
- Manage facility projects, produce facility reports and administer facility support systems
- Create MOPs, SOPs, EOPs and other technical reports and procedures
- Create SOWs (Scope of Work) for RFPs (Request for Proposals) when needed
- Works directly with the customer and/or support staff to identify and troubleshoot as necessary to isolate the root cause of problems
- Provide 24x7 on-call emergency response and support as necessary to support the customer
- Operate and perform both routine and emergency service on a variety of critical systems. (Mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems)
- Perform daily/weekly/monthly walk-through of customer facilities in support of data center operations to ensure efficient operation of all building systems
- Manage equipment vendors and maintenance contractors
- Ensure adherence to critical facility work rules and safety procedures
- Interact effectively with internal and external customers
- Attend manufacture training when applicable
- Ensure operational, maintenance and emergency methods of procedure (MOPs) are strictly used.
- Assist, as necessary, with scheduling of preventative maintenance, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance with minimal disruption of building services
- Coordinate maintenance with outside vendors and oversee vendor maintenance
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and customer concerns
- Ensure Facility Manager receives timely verbal and written operating reports
- Be familiar with all applicable Federal, State, and local rules, codes, and regulations

Qualifications

- Schedule:
- SUN, MON, TUES, every other WED (12HRS Shift 6-6)
- Every other WED, THURS, FRI, SAT (12HRS Shift 6-6)
Education/Experience (Desired):
- Journeyman level experience with at least five (5) years of Electrical and Operations experience
- Experience writing SOP, EOP, MOPS, technical reports, and procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding Customer relations skills
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Stop work authority
Required Skills
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge and experience of using mobile device applications
- Knowledge and experience using CMMS software
Preferred Skills
- Electrical Certifications/Licenses
- OSHA certification preferred
Salary : $30 - $45
