Pneumatic Technician

Location: Auburn Hills, Michigan (On-site)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Pay: $29.00-$35.00/hour (based on experience)

Overtime: Available (Current team members are averaging 50 hours per week)

Position Overview

Reliance One, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pneumatic Technician to support the assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of pneumatic and electropneumatic systems in an automotive manufacturing environment. This hands-on role is ideal for a technician with strong blueprint reading skills and experience working with pneumatic components, sensors, and automated assembly equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble and install pneumatic and electropneumatic systems, machinery, and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&ID diagrams to ensure accurate system installation.
• Cut, thread, bend, and fabricate piping using specialized tools and equipment.
• Install and secure piping systems using brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pneumatic systems and components.
• Diagnose issues involving sensors, cylinders, actuators, valves, and related equipment.
• Verify systems operate safely and efficiently while meeting quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to support project timelines.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience reading and working from pneumatic schematics.
• Minimum of 3 years of sensor troubleshooting experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience working with air-powered cylinders and actuators.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting automotive assembly machines.
• Strong understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic equipment efficiently.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
