Responsibilities
- Purchase materials, equipment, and supplies while negotiating pricing and delivery with vendors.
- Serve as the liaison between corporate departments, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, jobsites, remote offices, and service/spare parts teams.
- Research, identify, evaluate, and select qualified vendors.
- Approve vendor selection and authorize purchase orders based on business needs.
- Follow internal procurement policies and purchasing procedures.
- Develop annual purchasing objectives focused on cost reduction and continuous quality improvement.
- Prepare detailed cost analyses to support bidding, outsourcing decisions, estimating, and budget planning.
- Estimate fabricated mechanical and electrical components for projects throughout the organization.
- Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely material availability.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of purchasing, sourcing, or planning experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
- Knowledge of purchasing or MRP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
