This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for building strong teams, improving processes, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, and delivery goals
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across Lean Manufacturing, waste reduction, efficiency, and cost control
- Oversee production scheduling, labor planning, materials flow, and operational execution
- Develop and mentor supervisors and operations leaders while strengthening accountability and culture
- Manage operational budgets and support long-range planning initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Lead employee training, onboarding, performance development, and workforce planning
- Promote 5S, plant organization, and a high-performance work environment
- Partner cross-functionally with quality, supply chain, engineering, and leadership teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred
- 5 years of operations leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Proven success leading teams and driving results through others
- Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, process improvement, and production systems
- Experience with scheduling, materials management, freight/distribution, and workforce planning
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Union environment experience is a plus
