Position Overview

Reliance One is hiring a detail-oriented Temporary Accounting Clerk to support a client’s finance and accounting team.

This position will assist with daily accounting activities, including data entry, invoice processing, record maintenance, and basic account reconciliation. It is a great opportunity for someone with general office, administrative, or basic bookkeeping experience who would like to gain additional hands-on accounting experience.

Responsibilities

A college or accounting degree is not required.

• Enter financial and accounting information accurately into the accounting system.
• Organize, file, and maintain electronic and physical financial records.
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices using the three-way matching process.
• Assist with basic account reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Respond to basic vendor and customer billing inquiries by phone and email.
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting and finance team.
• Maintain accurate and organized records while handling financial information appropriately.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No college or accounting degree required.
• Zero to one year of general office, administrative, bookkeeping, or accounting-related experience preferred.
• Entry-level candidates with transferable administrative skills will be considered.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting systems is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn new processes and systems through on-the-job training.
