Job Summary
Reporting to the President, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading human resources operations as a key member of the Siskin leadership team. This role partners with local and enterprise leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals, strengthen workforce and leadership capabilities through talent acquisition and development, and ensure the organization is prepared to meet current and future performance needs.
- Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Manages ongoing Human Resources operations including recruitment efforts, training, employee relations and/or outplacement counseling, exit interviews, etc. as well as other projects.
- Develops and maintains required records, reports, and logs to conform to applicable Federal, state, and/or local regulations.
- Leads, coaches, and mentors a team of Human Resources professionals while managing resource allocation and staffing.
- Participates in developing Human Resources goals, objectives, and systems, and recommends necessary changes.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of Human Resources operations and services performed and re-evaluates them for cost effectiveness.
- Supports line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with business strategy.
- Helps the business unit leaders to provide employees with development opportunities and ensures that they are able to meet current and future performance standards.
- Contributes to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
- Develops and promotes feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of Human Resources services and processes.
- Provides Human Resources advice and coaching to employees and managers when appropriate.
- Responsible for adhering to safety processes and protocols.
Required Skills
- 0-5 years of management experience or any equivalent combination of education and HR experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- High School diploma/GED required, Bachelor degree preferred.
- Knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends required.
- Prior experience with iCIMS Applicant Tracking System preferred.
- Ability to exercise discretion when handling sensitive/confidential employment information required.
- Broad understanding of concepts and principles pertinent to Human Resources management operations required.
- Ability to effectively manage resources and lead teams in the accomplishment of work required.
- Ability to make sound decisions based on a combination of factors including analysis, knowledge and experience, and judgment required.
- Ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with co-workers as well as internal/external customers required.
- Strong computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint), as well as general HR software platforms and internet based search engines required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively required.
