Residential Unit Director-Bozrah House - $28.39/Hr
Closing Date: 12/22/2025
FT 40 Hr/wk Provides managerial, supervisory, and technical leadership to 24-hour residential program and community program with independent budgets, in the same Service Area. Ensures program activities, goals and communication are in compliance with agency standards. Provides scheduling for adequate coverage of program within the program budget. Ensures assessments (IRP/crisis plan) are completed and provide program approval for admissions, discharges in collaboration with clinicians, program coordinator and service coordinators. Coordinates maintenance of the house to ensure quality environment for residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures program activities, goals and communication are in compliance with agency standards
- Provides direction, assistance, and approval to direct care employees for major crisis intervention in collaboration with clinical consultation
- Conduct program admission
- Ensures the initial IRP is completed within 30 days
- Ensures assessments(IRP/crisis plan) are completed and provide program approval for admissions, discharges in collaboration with clinicians, program coordinator and service coordinators.
- Designates employee assignments for program participants in conjunction with the program coordinator.
- Ensures data is entered into HMIS by either the Director or Program Coordinator by due dates, per program contract requirements
- Attends Agency intake meeting or designate program coordinator that can make final decision. Service Director may also attend.
- Attends team meetings in collaboration with clinicians
- Provides scheduling for adequate coverage of program within program budget
- Provides input for budget and manage Program within budget guidelines
- Conducts weekly note reviews and provide ongoing training for staff in documentation and ERS data input. Skill development should include content, accuracy and appropriate terminology
- Provides required reporting for funding purposes.
- Assures coordination of services among designated programs, other Reliance Health Programs, and community programs.
- Implements policies, procedures, and program evaluation for designated programs.
- Coordinates maintenance of house to ensure quality environment for residents
- Identifies programmatic and resource needs to support program expansion
- Monitors Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement for service area.
- Provides employee evaluations that are up to date and evident in personnel files on direct reporting staff and per diems used in the program
- Meets deadlines in completing and submitting required /requested documentation
- Engages in continuous concerted efforts to access, obtain, respond to pertinent agency information/communications and disseminate as appropriate
- Provides working conditions and education that maximizes safety for direct care staff and program participants Other responsibilities of Reliance Health staff, such as participation in Agency events, adhering to Agency Policies & procedures, training requirements etc..
- Provides regular supervision that is documented and evidenced in Personnel files by submitting to HR at the time of supervision and by eval deadline of 3/1 or 9/1. Supervision is acknowledged by the signature of employee using the Agency form that includes but is not limited to: providing honest and fair feedback about performance, discussing employee goals & growth, appreciation and program communication.
- Approves employee timesheets accurately prior to 9am on Monday payroll weeks and when appropriate, approve and fax per diem timesheets prior to 9am Monday payroll weeks.
- Ensures program safety measures are met on a regular basis
- Performs duties while demonstrating Agency Core Competencies and values.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or equivalent work experience in the provision of mental health/disabilities preferred
- Work experience in the provision of mental health services preferred
- Supervision experience preferred
- Eligible for DDS medication certification
- Valid CT Driver’s License, vehicle registration and insurance
- Good driving record
