We are seeking a reliable and motivated Courier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and documents efficiently and safely. As a Courier, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our clients receive their packages on time.
Duties
- Drive various vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to deliver packages and documents to designated locations.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload items from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks for moving heavy items safely.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking information and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Courier or in a similar driving role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns.
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience driving box trucks is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling deliveries.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
