Surface Protection Coating Line Operator

About the role

Join a Palmer-based manufacturer where you’ll transform raw materials into high-performing surface protection products. Picture your day: you arrive on either first shift (7am–3pm) or second shift (3pm–11pm), review work orders, and prep the coating line for a safe, clean, and efficient run. You set up, verify specifications, and keep a close eye on quality from start to finish—all while following health, safety, and quality standards.

A day in the life

• Translate work orders into finished goods that meet precise specifications.
• Run the 475 machine in alignment with documented JSAs and established manufacturing procedures.
• Continuously inspect output for quality and cleanliness; correct and escalate issues promptly.
• Flag and report any substandard materials or process deviations to your supervisor.
• Record production details and quality checks with accuracy and completeness.
• Mix and prepare adhesives, release coatings, and inks used in production.
• Set plates and mount them onto shafts as needed for each job.
• Handle materials, stage components, and support the line to keep production moving.
• Keep your area organized and uphold housekeeping and safety expectations.

What you’ll bring

• At least 1 year in manufacturing as a machine operator; background with coating, slitting, laminating, or similar converting processes is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds safely.
• Comfort taking direction and working both independently and with a team.
• Reliable work history, initiative, and a strong drive to achieve.
• Proficiency in machine setups for production runs.

Schedule and pay

• First shift: 7am–3pm; $19/hr
• Second shift: 3pm–11pm; $20.50/hr
• Monday–Friday
• Temp-to-hire path

Machine Operator Requirements:
