Machine Operators

Agawam manufacturing company currently seeking Machine Operators who will learn to operate both manual and CNC machines according to program and product specifications to produce small to medium sized components as either as a finished product or as part of another larger product to be assembled. Candidates should have previous manufacturing experience and a willing to learn.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESOperates manual machines such as saws, mills, and lathesPositions parts in specified locations using a variety of fastening devicesOperates hand-held tools, electrical tools, and/or pneumatic toolsOperates lift equipment as neededUses precision measuring tools as requiredAbility to recognize various material types used in department and adjust equipment if neededAbility to recognize worn tooling and change in machine as requiredVerifies accuracy of completed product or batch inspectionsReports defective materials, discrepancies, process malfunctions or completed products that are not in compliance with company and/or customer specifications to the Department LeadMaintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulationsCompletes all necessary paperwork as required, including in process or carbon copy production sheetsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBasic understanding of machining principles (CNC machine operations is a plus)Mechanical aptitudeExcellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workBasic computer skills for machine operation and data entryStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quicklyEffective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a teamPhysical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 poundsSchedule: 1st shift 6am-4pmPlease submit resume to www.reliabletemps.com/employee or call 413-786-9941You should be proficient in:Mechanical Troubleshooting SkillsCNC Machine RepairCNC Machine Installation
