Overview
Join our team as a full-time Yard & Fleet Technician. This hands-on role supports year‑round yard, fleet and landscape/snow operations: washing and detailing trucks, loading/unloading salt, receiving vehicles, topping off fluids, assisting maintenance, operating yard equipment, and maintaining grounds. Training provided for front‑end loader operation. Valid driver’s license required; experience driving F‑550 with a trailer preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, detail, and clean company trucks and equipment
- Load and unload salt and other materials safely and efficiently
- Receive trucks from drivers at shift end; inspect and document vehicle condition
- Top off fluids (fuel, oil, coolant, washer fluid) and report mechanical issues
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe yard and grounds (trash removal, sweeping, organizing supplies, basic landscaping tasks)
- Operate yard equipment: front‑end loader (training provided), mowers, trimmers, snow blowers, plows, excavators, and other power tools as needed
- Perform routine landscape and hardscape support: mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation adjustments, and light construction assistance
- Maintain equipment: inspect, clean, lubricate, and perform basic repairs
- Assist mechanic with tasks such as shoveling out salt spreaders when they break down
- Follow safety procedures and complete required logs/records
- Perform other duties as assigned to support yard, fleet, and seasonal operations
Winter Duties
- Conduct snow plowing and removal operations as needed and jump into routes for shoveling/plowing
- Assist with emergency repairs and clearing salt spreaders on-site
- On snow event days, report to work at 2:00 AM
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record preferred
- Experience driving F‑550 or similar vehicles with trailers preferred
- Proven mechanical aptitude and experience operating power equipment (mowers, plows, excavators, loaders, etc.) preferred
- Hands‑on experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or snow operations a plus
- Knowledge of tree care, irrigation systems, or hardscape installation advantageous
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently or in a team

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
