Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant with experience in association management accounting to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and association accounting practices, with hands-on experience using CINC Systems and QuickBooks Desktop. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting for multiple community associations and working closely with management and board members on financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual budgets and assist with forecasting for assigned associations.
- Review and analyze monthly financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and association standards.
- Approve invoices and maintain oversight of accounts payable transactions.
- Enter homeowner payments/ receive checks
- Reconcile bank accounts, reserve accounts, and due to/from accounts monthly.
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports for board review.
- Assist auditors with annual audits and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Monitor collections, assessments, and special assessments for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with association governing documents and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in property or association management.
- Proficiency in CINC Systems and QuickBooks Desktop strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting, budgets, and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to explain financials to non-accountants.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple associations and meet deadline
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
