Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and detail-oriented Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide dedicated support to individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities. Client is a 83 year old man living with his Son and daughter in law in West Grove, PA.
Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm (40 hours a week)
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Help with self Administered medication and assist with medication management following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and comfort
- Support clients during outings or community activities, encouraging social engagement and independence
Skills
- Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
- Ability to perform CPR and First Aid confidently in emergency situations
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs
- Strong understanding of medication administration, care plans, and vital signs monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident transfers
- Compassionate attitude combined with professionalism to deliver respectful patient-centered care
