Admissions Coordinator / Marketing

The Cottages at Rockmart is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Admissions Coordinator / Marketing Professional to support census growth and guide residents and families through the admissions process.

This is a non-clinical role and does not require a nursing license.

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of healthcare knowledge, customer service, and marketing experience, with a strong ability to build relationships and coordinate a seamless transition from hospital or community referral to admission.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for referrals, admissions, and census development

• Build and maintain relationships with hospital discharge planners, case managers, physicians, and community partners

• Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families

• Coordinate all aspects of the admissions process, including:

Referral review and acceptance / Insurance verification and authorization coordination / Medical record collection and documentation

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a smooth and welcoming admission experience

• Track and manage referral activity, conversion rates, and census trends

• Participate in external marketing efforts, including outreach to hospitals, healthcare providers, and community organizations

• Support residents and families throughout their stay, assisting with communication and transition planning as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in skilled nursing, healthcare admissions, marketing, or business development preferred

• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance processes is highly desirable

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple referrals and deadlines

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment
