Job Summary
The Assistant Supervisor, Janitorial is responsible for the day-to-day operations of assigned RR Janitorial contract(s), within an assigned geographic area. It is their responsibility to assist with the janitorial routes, contractual periodic services and scheduling for the site(s). They will assist the supervisor with supply ordering, building inspections, equipment/site needs, coverage assistance and communication with other employees. This position will be a working supervisor role and will maintain a partial janitorial route with some responsibilities with the above tasks. Driving is an essential function of this job.

Essential Functions
- Oversees the day-to-day janitorial responsibilities of Janitorial staff
- Provides training to janitorial staff as needed
- Supports or relieves other janitorial and supervisory staff as needed
- Acts as a role model, coach, and advocate for janitors
- Maintains positive customer relationships and professionally responds in a timely manner to customer concerns.
- Complete reports and other paperwork as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years minimum working as in a supervisory role in a janitorial capacity
- Ability to work with moderate supervision and some independent decision making.
- Experience working or volunteering with persons with disabilities and/or diverse populations is preferred
- Basic understanding of computer skills (Willing to learn additional computer programs)
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to perform occasional janitorial tasks; walk, bend, lift and carry items up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle and clean driving record
- Pass a criminal background check to obtain Federal security clearances
