What You’ll Do

Relate Search has partnered with a marine technology company to find a Business Development Representative to support growth across its connected boat technology and boat-sharing businesses. This is an opportunity to join an entrepreneurial team backed by a global marine organization and help bring innovative products and services to more boaters. You’ll build relationships with dealers, distributors, and business partners while helping them understand and adopt solutions designed to make boating more accessible and enjoyable.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth through outbound calls and relationship building with prospective and existing dealers and B2B accounts.
• Educate prospects and partners on connected boat technology and support the closing of boat-sharing operator opportunities.
• Build and maintain distributor relationships, providing product updates, demonstrations, and training on new features and platforms.
• Identify customer needs and sales opportunities while staying informed about competing products and services.
• Manage contacts and sales activity in the CRM and represent the company at boat shows, trade shows, and industry events.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of sales or equivalent experience, including field sales experience.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage customers, prospects, distributors, and internal teams.
• A proactive, organized approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and attend occasional evening or weekend events; a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable experience. CRM experience and knowledge of boating or the marine industry are a plus.
