Order Entry Representative

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Order Entry Representative to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will provide exceptional support to customers and internal teams by processing orders, responding to customer inquiries, and coordinating service and delivery needs. In this role accuracy, communication skills, and ability to manage competing priorities, will ensure a seamless and positive customer experience.

What You'll Do

• Create and enter sales orders for fuel, tanks, services, and special projects, ensuring accuracy and maintaining detailed notes.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate customer deliveries with other terminals to help ensure timely service.
• Communicate with sales representatives and dispatchers regarding customer requirements and delivery needs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Basic Qualifications

• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the Houston, TX location.
• Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a high-volume data entry and customer service environment.
• Minimum of one year of recent phone experience communicating with customers in a corporate environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Ability to type at least 30 words per minute (WPM).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to accurately repeat and confirm information with customers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with coworkers and management in a team-oriented environment.
• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Stable employment history.
• Willingness to accept constructive feedback and learn new processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or similar order management systems.
• Experience in the fuel or transportation industry.
• Previous customer service experience in a phone-based environment.
