Sales Executive – Field Sales (Convenience)

Salary: £30,000 per annum (up to £36,000/annum OTE) van and fuel card
Working: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Locations: London - Wembley, Harrow, Brent and surrounds
Smollan is incredibly proud to be partnering with Red Star, a fast-growing UK FMCG distributor known for bringing disruptive, high-potential brands to market. This is the start of a brand-new field sales team, created to increase visibility, distribution and sales across the convenience channel.
As a Sales Executive, you’ll be at the heart of this launch. You’ll manage your own territory, represent an exciting portfolio of brands, and – importantly – report directly into the Red Star client team, giving you exposure, autonomy and the chance to truly influence results from day one.
You’ll be calling on independent convenience stores and selected symbol groups, working to a structured call file while also prospecting for new opportunities and filling distribution gaps.

What you’ll be doing:
- Building strong, long-lasting relationships with store owners and key decision-makers
- Increasing distribution across Red Star’s brand portfolio
- Driving additional sales through effective selling, visibility and ranging
- Managing your territory and call file to maximise coverage and impact
- Prospecting new stores and identifying untapped opportunities
- Acting as the face of the brands in your area – professional, knowledgeable, and trusted
- Be part of a newly launched sales team with real momentum
- Work directly with the client, not at arm’s length
- Represent exciting, growth-focused FMCG brands
- Genuine opportunity to prove yourself and grow with the account
- Autonomy, responsibility and visibility from day one
- Support from Smollan – a global retail solutions business with 90 years’ heritage
- Up to £36k/annum On Target Earnings (£30k/annum up to 20% KPI bonus) company van with fuel card
- A full UK driving licence for at least 12 months
- Previous field sales or convenience retail experience
- Confidence building relationships and selling face-to-face
- Comfortable managing a territory and working independently
- A proactive approach to prospecting and problem-solving
- Ambition to grow, develop and be part of something being built
