Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across multifamily projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, NEC (National Electrical Code), and project specifications. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage wiring on commercial and industrial sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise electrical installations.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment to diagnose issues and verify system integrity.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components to support industrial automation projects.
- Follow NEC guidelines and local electrical codes to ensure all work meets safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry, and general construction tasks as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and materials used for project documentation.
- Assist in training apprentices or less experienced team members while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid journeyman electrician license or certification with proven experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Demonstrated experience with industrial electrician tasks including PLCs, schematics reading, low voltage systems, and high voltage installations.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and electrical testing devices such as multimeters.
- Strong knowledge of NEC standards, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction site safety procedures.
- Experience working on renovation projects or within construction environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical diagrams including schematics related to automation or control systems.
- Handyman experience or familiarity with frame carpentry is a plus but not required.
