Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and multifamily jobs. Learn to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to support accurate wiring and system setup. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit installation, and equipment mounting. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to ensure proper operation. Help with the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Participate in site safety procedures, including PPE usage, hazard identification, and adherence to OSHA regulations. Assist with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure setups when needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in electrical technology is a plus. Some experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction site safety practices. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Strong interest in learning electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications. Willingness to work outdoors on construction sites in various weather conditions.
