Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute hardscape projects.
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting forms, and ensuring proper grading for optimal installation.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely to cut, shape, and install materials such as pavers, stone, brick, concrete blocks, and other hardscape components.
- Mix and pour concrete for foundations, slabs, or decorative features with precision and attention to detail.
- Install drainage systems, edging, retaining walls, patios, walkways, and other outdoor structures following project specifications.
- Conduct quality inspections during installation to ensure durability, safety standards, and aesthetic consistency.
- Collaborate with team members on heavy equipment operation and site management to maintain efficiency and safety on all projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hardscape installation or related construction fields such as masonry, carpentry, or landscaping.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels), power tools (e.g., saws, drills), and heavy equipment operation relevant to outdoor construction sites.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, roofing basics, glass installation, cabinet installation, framing carpentry, door hanging, painting preparation & application.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings accurately while adhering to safety protocols.
- Experience with construction inspection standards and construction management practices is a plus.
