Position: Middle/High School STEAMM Lab Teacher
Reports To: Principal and Assistant Principal
Status: Full Time, Exempt
Schedule: 41 Weeks (August - May)

Job Summary:
The Middle/High School STEAMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Ministry) Lab Teacher is responsible for implementing the SmartLab Learning program for students in grades 6-12. This role involves delivering engaging, hands-on instruction in STEAMM disciplines while managing lab materials, fostering creativity, and integrating biblical principles into student learning. The teacher will encourage students to explore technology, problem-solving, and innovation through interactive, project-based experiences.
Qualifications:
- Christian Faith: Must be a committed Christian who lives in accordance with biblical principles and demonstrates a Christ-centered lifestyle.
- Church Membership: Active member in good standing of a local church.
- Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with experience and application in one or more of the following areas:
- Circuitry
- Computer Graphics
- Digital Communications
- Mechanics and Structures
- Robotics and Control Technology
- Scientific Data and Analysis
- Software Engineering
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive knowledge of G Suite programs and Microsoft products.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff, both verbally and in writing.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to plan, implement, and assess engaging student learning experiences while managing multiple projects.
Essential Functions:
Instruction and Immersion
- Design and facilitate student-centered learning experiences that integrate STEAMM principles with biblical worldview teachings.
- Model, deliver, and develop innovative learning opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, and Ministry (STEAMM).
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the connection between technology, computer science, and other fields of study.
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive STEAMM curriculum that aligns with the mission and educational standards of RCS.
- Encourage student participation in STEAMM-related competitions to develop their gifts and talents.
- Provide personalized, differentiated instruction that engages students at various skill levels.
- Organize and maintain lab resources, ensuring an effective and structured learning environment.
- Identify opportunities to use the STEAMM Lab for ministry and community service projects.
Leadership and Professional Growth
- Stay informed on educational and technology-related research, instructional design principles, and best practices in STEAMM education.
- Identify, implement, and evaluate software applications to enhance STEAMM instruction.
- Maintain the STEAMM Lab budget in collaboration with the Science Department Head.
- Develop partnerships with external organizations, such as the Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance (TRSA), to access additional resources.
- Collaborate with the Development Director to write grant proposals for funding additional equipment and STEM opportunities.
- Complete CLS Facilitator Training and work toward certification as a SMART Lab Facilitator.
- Participate in monthly instructional coaching opportunities provided by CLS.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
- This is a safety-sensitive position; employees may be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage with students in a lab environment for extended periods.
- Lift and move materials, equipment, and technology components (up to 30 lbs).
- Utilize manual dexterity for operating lab equipment and technology.
- Maintain classroom management through mobility and supervision.
