Position: Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Reports To: Head of Marketing and Communications
Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: 52 Weeks (3 days/week in the summer)

Job Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports the mission and vision of the school through creative and Christ-centered visual storytelling, content creation, and brand support. This role emphasizes photography, photo editing, and graphic design, contributing to digital and print communication efforts that connect with and inspire the school community. The coordinator will help maintain a cohesive and professional brand image across all platforms, assist in managing social media, website updates, and internal communications, and collaborate with departments to support marketing campaigns and events. The ideal candidate is highly creative, detail-oriented, technically skilled in design and photography, and enthusiastic about promoting the school in a dynamic and engaging way.
Qualifications:
- Committed Christian who exemplifies a Christ-centered lifestyle.
- Active member in good standing of a local church.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in marketing, photography, and/or graphic design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing photography, photo editing, and graphic design skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, and InDesign).
- Familiarity with social media platforms, content scheduling tools, and website content management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with students, faculty, and families.
Essential Functions:
Photography & Visual Content Creation
- Serve as the primary photographer for school events, activities, and promotional materials.
- Edit and curate photos for use in digital platforms, publications, and marketing collateral.
- Maintain an organized digital photo archive for easy access and reference.
- Develop engaging visual content that captures the spirit and values of the school.
Graphic Design & Brand Consistency
- Design marketing materials such as flyers, posters, social media graphics, newsletters, and event signage.
- Uphold and implement the school’s brand standards across all designed materials.
- Assist in maintaining templates and style guides to ensure consistent visual messaging.
Digital Media & Communications
- Support the maintenance of the school’s website, ensuring that images and content are current and visually appealing.
- Assist with social media management, including content creation, posting, and community engagement.
- Help create email communications and newsletters that reflect the school's tone and visual identity.
Event & Project Support
- Provide marketing and photography support for school events, including setup, coverage, and post-event promotion.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and the communications team to support various internal and external marketing needs.
- Participate in brainstorming and strategy sessions for marketing campaigns and initiatives.
Physical and Safety Requirements:
- This is a safety-sensitive position; employees may be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to lift and carry photography or display equipment (up to 25–30 lbs).
- Ability to stand and move around campus for extended periods during events.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate cameras, editing software, and design tools.
