The Reitz Union Hotel is seeking a reliable and detail‑oriented Room Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms and assigned areas in a timely and organized manner to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to established hotel procedures and standards
- Ensure guest rooms are properly stocked with linens, amenities, and supplies
- Report maintenance issues and needed repairs promptly to a supervisor or maintenance team
- Respond to housekeeping requests from guests or management efficiently and professionally
- Keep linen carts and storage areas clean, organized, and secured
- Report all lost and found items immediately following hotel procedures
- Maintain guest privacy, security, and confidentiality at all times
Qualifications
- Basic English communication skills required; second language helpful
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Professional attitude and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and pushing/pulling equipment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily indoor work in guest rooms and hotel areas
- Use of housekeeping carts, vacuums, mops, and cleaning tools
- Physical mobility and stamina required to perform essential job duties
