Construction Project Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of project execution including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and client coordination, while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and performance.
This role will support a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, institutional, and public-sector work. Experience with K-12 or educational facility construction is preferred but not needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership:
Manage the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through completion, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and closeout - Financial Oversight:
Develop and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial performance aligns with company targets - Scheduling & Execution:
Create and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and projects are delivered on time - Client & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams - Construction Coordination:
Oversee subcontractors and field operations to ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and quality expectations - Quality & Safety:
Enforce strict safety standards and quality control processes across all phases of construction - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes, permitting requirements, and industry standards - Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, efficiency, and cost control - Educational / Occupied Project Considerations (Preferred):
Support projects in active environments (e.g., schools, healthcare, or occupied buildings), coordinating phased construction and minimizing disruption to ongoing operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction
- Experience managing ground-up and/or renovation projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and project financials
- Experience with public sector or institutional projects strongly preferred
- Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $140,000 - $165,000
