Warehouse Lead
Reist Popcorn Company is a family-owned fourth-generation company celebrating 100 years of popcorn this year! Located in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, Reist Popcorn Company processes popcorn to ship to domestic and international snack food manufacturers.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for Warehouse Lead. The Warehouse Lead’s primary job function is to assist the Warehouse Manager in all aspects, ensuring quality, accuracy, documentation and efficiency in the packaging and warehousing of inventory. This is achieved by managing the key functions below, but not limited to:
Assisting Warehouse Manager including:
- Management of warehouse/packaging staff
- Food safety documentation
- Quality assurance, testing, computer record keeping
- Scheduling – staff, outgoing orders o Collaboration with Processing Team
- Safe operation of all packaging machinery
- Forklift operation, loading and unloading bulk and van trailers
- Bulk bagging and packaging
- Setting up packaging equipment
- Warehousing finished products
- Stage outbound orders
- Assist in training new warehouse staffing when needed
- Quality assurance, testing, computer record keeping
- Maintenance and sanitation of mill
- Assisting with bin fumigation, scheduling and documentation
- Moving vehicles on company property
Qualifications
- High attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changes quickly.
- 2 years experience in agriculture/food/grain/animal feed industries, warehousing, machine operations or other relevant experience.
- Candidate must be of high character meeting our Company Values of positivity, relationships, teamwork, trust and loyalty.
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday during normal business hours, may include some later shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays until 9 pm Reist Popcorn Company is an equal opportunity employer.
