What are the responsibilities and job description for the TERRITORY MANAGER position at REINKE MANUFACTURING?
The Northeast Territory Manager works with and through dealerships to achieve sales goals jointly agreed to with the Director of Domestic Irrigation.
In conjunction with each dealer develops an actual business/action plan designed to achieve desired sales objectives for that dealership.
Will develop and present an annual territory action plan that outlines how sales goals will be achieved to include elimination of non-performing dealerships and recruitment of qualified replacements.
Directs the identification, recruitment, selection, development and service of domestic dealerships within the assigned territory. Assists established dealerships in expanding market share, sales, and service. Will assist dealerships and other sales personnel as necessary in the prospecting, development, closing, and servicing of larger key accounts i.e. corporate farms, governmental entities, and other industrial clients.
Will assist in the coordination, prioritizing and scheduling of the formal training programs for dealer representatives in the territory. Provides dealerships with excellent customer service and facilitates additional technical support through the corporate offices as required. Promotes and encourages dealership participation in all Reinke sales and marketing initiatives. Must also educate dealerships in the proper use, content and requirements of the Reinke Dealer Policy manual. Will be required to participate in all aspects of dealer training.
Significant travel within the territory is required in order to fully implement company’s marketing plans for the achievement of established annual territorial sales goals.
Qualifications:Requires a thorough knowledge of customer needs for Irrigation products and of the products available. Equivalent to 4 years of college (Agribusiness; Business Administration or Technical degree preferred).
Requires 4 to 5 years of successful sales experience in irrigation or other agriculture-related field. Some experience in technical areas such as engineering and manufacturing is desirable.
Requires the ability to travel domestically to Eastern Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine. Must travel to Canada Provinces - New Brunswick, Quebec and Ontario
