Reinhardt University seeks a Nursing Simulation Coordinator for the Cauble School of Nursing and Health Sciences
The Nursing Simulation Coordinator serves as an extension of course faculty, providing simulation-based learning experiences for students across the pre-licensure BSN program. The Nursing Simulation Coordinator reports directly to the dean.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and adapt simulation lesson plans.
- Deliver simulation-based learning experiences, including the operation of high-fidelity simulators.
- Supervise adjunct faculty who serve as assistants in the simulation lab.
- Review student written work relating to simulation learning experiences and provide feedback.
- Order and maintain supplies necessary for the simulation lab.
- Maintain equipment and space in the simulation lab.
- Coordinate simulation lab schedules with course coordinators.
- Record observations of student performance during simulation-based learning activities for the evaluation of student learning.
- Attend meetings within the Cauble School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing preferred, bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least two years of full-time or part-time didactic, clinical, or simulation teaching experience preferred.
- Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator® (CHSE®) certification preferred.
- Active, unencumbered Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Ability to organize and maintain lab equipment and supplies within the lab space.
- Excellent organizational skills and flexibility.
- Proficiency in the use of high-fidelity simulation equipment is preferred.
