Local route delivery driver 26' box truck

Job duties:

• Deliver products to regular customers on delivery routes in the Southern Oklahoma and North Texas regions using box style trucks. Delivery driver will unload products at customer site using hand trucks, lift gate, manual pallet jacks, and electric pallet jacks. Product loads will include single to multiple items or pallet loads of items.
• Must have ability to safely lift up to 50 pound repeatedly all day, every day.
• Deliver routes are well established and repeated weekly.
• Effectively navigate delivery routes using apps such as Google maps and/or Apple maps. Over-time, route is expected to be learned well enough to navigate without app assistance.
• Assist in loading trucks in the evening after returning from route or next morning depending on time available.
• Pull customer orders and put up freight with pallet jacks and cherry pickers.
• Keep delivery trucks clean and functioning well according to DOT regulations and company needs. Trucks will need to be kept in a like-new condition.
• Other miscellaneous warehouse and other duties will be performed as time permits and will be assigned as needed.
• Work well with co-workers and customers to accomplish pickups and deliveries safely and on time.
• Fill out vehicle inspection reports daily that include things such as mileage, vehicle performance, damage, etc. according to DOT regulations.
• Personal cell phone use is not permitted while clocked in. This includes wearables connected to devices or to the cloud/wifi.

Job requirements and abilities:

• Possess valid Class C license with little or no recent traffic violations.
• Pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check. Submit to DOT random drug testing.
• Good reading, writing, and basic math skills.
• Work in non-climate controlled environment. Hot in summer, cold in winter. Rain, snow, wind. Trucks have working air condition systems, heated and cooled.
• Report to work on time with little to no absences. Previous employer verification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years delivery driving experience preferred, not including personal or passenger vehicle delivery experience. Applicant must have driven company box truck or FedEx / UPS box type truck.
• Work hours: M-F 8:00am-5:00pm with some overtime depending upon workload.
• Maintain clean and neat appearance and proper hygiene. Tattoos will need to be covered while on the clock. All drivers must wear company uniform while on duty.
• Cannot be registered sex offender.
• Use of tobacco products or vape pens / nicotine pouches prohibited while on duty.
